Ten Bits Ranch is your own private version of a Big Bend National Park Resort without all the rules and restrictions of public lands. The Harness Shop (Room #11) is a private casita with one king sized bed, air conditioning, electric heat, gas log fireplace, WiFi, satellite television, mini refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker and a spacious full private bathroom, all in an old Western town setting.
There is a guest shared Cantina dining area with a full kitchen for your use. You may save a significant amount of time and money at a Big Bend place to stay by preparing your own meals in the shared Cantina kitchen. The Cottonwood grocery store is just 12 miles south on the way into the National Park. You may purchase groceries there to prepare your own meals in the shared Cantina.
Ten Bits Ranch is 15 minutes from Study Butte/Terlingua, 20 minutes from the Big Bend National Park entrance, and 20 minutes from the historic Terlingua Ghost Town. The Ten Bits Ranch Harness Shop (Room #11) is part of an old West town themed setting. There is a Bank, Schoolhouse, Gun Shop, General Store, Steakhouse, Hattery, Gazette, Courthouse, Saloon, Hotel, Barber Shop, Mercantile, Blacksmith and Jail. This private casita has its own fire pit outside the back door with a beautiful view of Hen Egg Mountain.
Ten Bits Ranch has everything that you need to be comfortable (WiFi, air conditioning, electric heat, gas log fireplace, satellite television). The entire property is off grid and powered by the one of the largest (57.6 kW) privately owned solar power systems in Texas.

The amazing solitude is extremely quiet and peaceful day or night. If you come to Ten Bits Ranch when the moon cycle is low (dark), after 20 minutes (for your eyes to adjust), the stars at Ten Bits Ranch will appear to surround you like a blanket. Be sure to watch for shooting stars. There is a shooting star in view at Ten Bits Ranch almost every week.
