LEWIS LAND & CATTLE COMPANY (Room #19): The Lewis Land & Cattle Company is styled after the Land Offices you see in the old western movies. Plus the cabin provides an amazing view of Hen Egg Mountain from its spacious covered front porch. You’ll love the décor of this old ghost town hotel guest room. The room contains one king bed, flat screen HD TV (Dish Network), a private bath, WIFI access, air conditioning, mini fridge and microwave and the spacious covered front porch with an absolutely stunning view.
This room is like many of our others, where it feels like you’re staying in an old ghost town hotel. The room offers a Deluxe single king bed and is very spacious and private. The Lewis Land & Cattle Company is a stand-alone room in its own building.
As part of our plan, each XBR cabin fits into the overall design of our old west, ghost town feeling. The décor reminds you of the late 1800s, but the amenities are as modern as it gets. We are completely off the grid with solar powered energy and our power system has proven to be far more reliable than the local power company.
When you consider your options for a Big Bend ghost town hotel, you will be happy with our beautiful yet convenient location. We’re a short 15 minute drive to Terlingua and Study Butte. But we’re far enough away to rest and relax in the surrounding desert and mountainous topography. Big Bend National Park and entrance to the Santa Elena Canyon Trailare just 20 minutes away.
During your stay, the Ten Bits Ranch Cantina is a unique and enjoyable part of your experience. Your room access code will allow you access to the Cantina. Guests can find a simple self-serve continental breakfast provided 24/7. There is also a large dining area and full kitchen in the Cantina. Three full-size refrigerators and two stoves and oven are available for all guests to use during their stays. Out back of the Cantina, you will also find two propane grills for your use. Pots, pans, dishes, and basic utensils are provided for use during your stay at Ten Bits Ranch.
From your very own ghost town hotel experience, you can enjoy a simple hike through the desert trails. Then, come back to rest and relax and enjoy some good food (which you can prepare in our shared kitchen found in the Cantina). The cool desert evening and a night sky with stars that go on forever will be there to tuck you into bed each night.
