BIG BEND NATIONAL PARK CABINS | THE GENERAL STORE
The General Store is our handicap accessible cabin. We adorned the exterior with old washboards, wagon wheels, saws, horsewhips and other late 1800s merchandise. Plus the cabin has a spacious covered porch with easy access to the Cantina – our large, shared dining and kitchen area. The General Store is handicap-accessible with an entry ramp and handrail-equipped bathroom. You’ll love the décor of this Big Bend National Park cabin. The General Store contains one king bed, a gas log fireplace, flat screen HD TV (Dish Network), a private bath, WIFI access, electric heat, air conditioning, mini fridge, microwave, and the spacious covered porch.
As part of our overall design, each Ten Bits Ranch (XBR) cabin plays a role in creating our old west town. But don’t worry, you won’t have to sacrifice modern amenities. Not only do we have high-speed WiFi, our entire ranch is supported by the most reliable energy available: solar power! That’s right, we’re off the grid but you can rest assured we’re more reliable than the energy companies.
The General Store is a Standard single king room and is part of a duplex with the Gun Shop. The General Store and Gun Shop have a connecting door that can provide an excellent option for groups of 4 to share these two rooms. Just reserve the General Store and the Gun Shop and share these two unique rooms during your stay. However, do be aware that noise from the adjoining room can also be heard through the connecting doors.
When you consider your options for Big Bend National Park cabins, you won’t find a more convenient spot. We’re a short drive to Terlingua and Study Butte. But we’re far enough away to rest and relax in the surrounding desert and mountainous topography. Big Bend National Park and the Santa Elena Canyon Trail are right around the corner too.
The Ten Bits Ranch Cantina is a unique and enjoyable part of your experience at Ten Bits Ranch. Your room access code will also allow you access to the Cantina. Guests will find a simple self-serve continental breakfast provided 24/7 in the Cantina. There is also a large dining area and full-kitchen in the Cantina. Three full-size refrigerators and two stoves and oven are available for all guests to use during their stay. Out back of the Cantina, you will also find 2 propane grills for your use. Pots and pans, dishes and basic utensils are provided for use during your stay at Ten Bits Ranch. If you want a specific food or need a specific utensil, please bring it with you. Many people use our kitchen to save money while traveling. You can save $30-$100 per day preparing your own dinner.
